Our Food & Beverage Manager is looking for experienced FB Attendants with beverage experience to join the team. If you have barista, bar, or cocktail skills and experience (making them, rather than drinking them) we have exciting opportunities to live and work in the stunning surroundings of Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, and gaining experience across a range of outlets, we are keen to hear from you.
At the Hermitage Hotel we offer our overnight guests and day trip visitors a range of food and beverage outlets including our Snowline and Chamois bars, and the Sir Edmund Hilary Cafe. Regardless of which outlet you are based in for the day, you will be the face of our beverage experience and ensuring our guests enjoy everything we have to offer. Working alongside your colleagues in the F&B and Kitchen team you will deliver a cohesive service throughout the day.
What you will be doing
• Making and mixing coffee, cocktails, and bar beverages.
• Sharing your knowledge of our food, wine and beverages
• Providing efficient and effective table management and resetting
• Maintaining high standards of presentation for our food and beverage outlets
• Supporting guests to get to the most from their stay with us.
• Having the ability to operate a POS system and cash up process
What you will bring to the role
• A passion for drinks, customer service, and guest experience
• Solid F&B experience, six months plus, in a similar position using Point-of-Sale systems,
• Maintaining food and beverage items, presentation of restaurants and engaging guests.
• An eye for cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
• Willingness to learn and a “can do” attitude
• Ability to work with grace under pressure and resolve issues effectively
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• A collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
The role and benefits
• Full Time, permanent, Minimum 60 hours per fortnight. Hourly rate is $25.00
