Te Tūranga – About the role

As our FRT Analyst (Security, Risk & Assurance), you’ll play a critical role in providing independent analytical insight, assurance, and risk visibility across our Facial Recognition Technology (FRT) programme.

This role is all about ensuring data integrity, evidencing outcomes, identifying emerging risks, and supporting defensible, evidence-based decision-making at an enterprise level.

You’ll partner closely with stakeholders across Retail Operations and governance forums to translate data into insights that strengthen compliance, performance, and trust in our systems.

 

Ngā kawenga – What you’ll be responsible for

  • Owning FRT performance, risk, and compliance reporting across the co-operative
  • Analysing lifecycle data, alert outcomes, false positives, and store usage trends
  • Identifying indicators of misuse, drift, or emerging privacy risks
  • Producing regular reporting for senior stakeholders, including ELT and governance forums
  • Maintaining auditable dashboards and evidence to support regulatory assurance
  • Supporting Privacy Impact Assessments through data-led insights
  • Contributing to policy, governance, and operating model improvements
  • Supporting internal and external audits with accurate, defensible data
  • Partnering with FRT Specialists to turn insights into operational improvements

 

He kōrero mōu – About you

You’ll bring advanced analytical capabilities, strong attention to detail, and a focus on data integrity. You’re confident in interpreting risk, compliance, and operational data in complex environments, and can translate insights clearly for a range of audiences. You have strong written communication skills and are comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders. You also demonstrate high ethical standards, with care and discretion when working with sensitive information.


A background in analytics, risk, compliance, loss prevention, or assurance, with experience working with dashboards, incident data, or operational reporting, will be highly valuable. You bring exposure to privacy, security, or regulated environments, and understand the importance of working within frameworks that require accuracy, accountability, and governance.
