FCM Travel Group, the corporate travel arm of Flight Centre Travel Group, is expanding its European sales team and is looking for a driven Sales Development Representative. The focus is on creating new business opportunities and building meaningful connections with prospective clients across the region. This is a fast-paced, high-energy sales environment suited to someone who wants to start and grow a career in sales, with the chance to work closely with colleagues around the world and with sales leaders guiding the way.

The role is a full-time, on-site position based in London, England. The job title in the posting also lists London or Ireland (Dublin) as potential locations, reflecting the European scope of the team. The successful candidate will be part of a global sales ecosystem within FCM Travel, contributing directly to growth and client engagement.

If you enjoy turning conversations into opportunities, coordinating with cross-border teams, and learning what it takes to win business in a competitive market, this could be a fit.

Opening doors across Europe

Your daily work centers on sparking interest with decision-makers at target ICP accounts and lining up first meetings for the FCM sales team. You’ll run outbound prospecting cadences and use Salesforce and sales-engagement tools to stay on track, while also taking ownership of inbound leads and converting them into qualified opportunities. Collaboration is essential, as you’ll align with Sales Development Representatives across the globe to maximise pipeline generation and share best practices.

You'll support prospecting with a toolkit that includes LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Sales Navigator, Highspot and other marketing technology, then log your activity in Salesforce to keep the team aligned and informed. You’ll also lend a hand with industry event management when needed and work to raise awareness of FCM’s solutions through proactive outreach. Building relationships with prospects through clear, professional communication is a core part of the role, and contributing to an inclusive, welcoming workplace matters just as much as hitting targets.

What you need to succeed

Must-haves include a track record in generating qualified pipeline through inbound or outbound sales, paired with strong communication skills, especially when cold-calling and engaging prospects. You should be comfortable overcoming obstacles and staying motivated toward targets, with genuine curiosity about customer challenges and the ability to identify appropriate solutions. Organizational discipline and the ability to prioritise multiple deliverables are important, as is a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. The role also calls for a team-oriented mindset and the ability to build solid relationships with clients and colleagues, plus experience using CRM and sales-engagement tools like Salesforce. Familiarity with prospecting and sales technologies such as LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Sales Navigator and Highspot is preferred. Travel industry experience is not required but is considered a plus.

  • A proven ability to generate and manage a pipeline, from inbound or outbound sources, that leads to qualified opportunities
  • Clear, confident communication tailored to prospects and capable of sustaining engagement over calls and messages
  • Resilience and motivation to pursue targets despite challenges
  • Curiosity about customer pain points and a knack for identifying fitting solutions
  • Strong organisational skills with the capacity to juggle multiple tasks
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth
  • Team spirit and the ability to build relationships with clients and teammates
  • Experience with CRM and sales-engagement platforms such as Salesforce
  • Familiarity with prospecting and sales tools including LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Sales Navigator and Highspot (preferred)

Pay, benefits and practical details

This is a full-time, on-site role based in London, England, with the role title noting London or Ireland (Dublin) as part of the locations. The posting does not specify salary, benefits or other practical details beyond the on-site setup and the global nature of the team, so you’ll want to confirm those during interviews.

Advice for applicants

Lead with your outbound and inbound sales experience and highlight any success in generating meaningful pipeline opportunities for previous teams. In your résumé, mention specific tools you’ve used to drive prospecting and track activity, especially Salesforce and any of the following: LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Sales Navigator, or Highspot.

Showcase concrete examples of how you’ve excelled at cold outreach and turning conversations into qualified meetings. If you’ve faced obstacles on the way to targets, describe the approach you took to stay motivated and deliver results while maintaining professionalism and curiosity about customer needs.

When preparing for interviews, be ready to discuss how you would manage outbound cadences, handle inbound leads, and collaborate with SDRs globally to maximise the pipeline. Be ready to explain how you use CRM to stay organized and how you prioritise competing deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Finally, think up a smart question to ask the interviewer that draws on the role’s specifics, such as how success is measured for SDRs, what a typical day looks like across the European team, and how event support fits into the role. You could also ask about how the European team collaborates with colleagues in other regions and what career development paths look like within the sales organization.
