The role requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management with 10 years of progressive construction experience, or 15 years in the MENA region without a degree. Key duties include field inspections, work planning, material coordination, QA/QC, and the installation of concrete, steel, earthwork, formwork, and scaffolding, with strict adherence to safety and Bechtel ES&H standards. The Ar Rjum Project comprises a green field gold project with three open pit mining operations with associated waste dumps and ore stockpile, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure including water supply, power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, temporary and permanent accommodation village.
The Project is situated within the Central Arabian Gold Region, approximately 200 km north-east of Taif towards Riyadh and about 26 km South of Al Mouwayh, which is a small town situated on the Jeddah - Riyadh highway.
The Civil/Earthworks Field Engineer is responsible for tasks and activities relating to construction engineering within the Civil discipline (i.e., concrete, structural steel, excavation/backfill, scaffolding, architectural finishes) utilizing codes and standards. Responsibilities include the development of work plans, coordinating materials, performing, and documenting inspections, safety and quality control, reporting progress, and resolving conflicts in design and construction related to the
installation and testing of commodities through turnover to Startup/Commissioning. This position will be responsible for a variety of construction tasks utilizing industrial codes and standards related to concrete, steel, earthwork, architectural installations. Duties include interpreting design and vendor drawings and specifications. This position requires good planning and organizational skills, ability to perform detailed inspections and the ability to produce accurate, clear, and concise documentation.
