Job Summary

 

Under supervision of the Estimator, the Stormwater Maintenance Field Inspector performs such tasks and duties as are necessary for inspecting stormwater structures and systems including but not limited to drywells, manufactured treatment systems, stormwater inlets, and stormwater collection and detention systems. The position also assists sales with creating proposals for maintaining and or repairing stormwater structures.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Inspect stormwater systems and wastewater collection systems
  • Identify components of systems and structures needing repairs
  • Communicate and conduct job walks with prospective customers
  • Assist sales team by providing clear inspections of the scope of work required
  • Support field and internal team members to achieve team goals
  • Follow all safety and operational standards and procedures
  • Communicate and work with the maintenance team to collect pertinent project information to be captured
  • Drive, navigate, and operate company vehicles
  • Load and unload equipment and material
  • Perform routine inspections and service procedures on company vehicle and equipment
  • Perform percolation test on drywells as requested
  • Present project-specific solutions to internal and external customers
  • Ensure safety first mentality with adherence to all company and OSHA policies
  • Completing assigned inspections 
  • Customer Satisfaction while on site 
  • Consistent and accurate inspections for scope of work required
  • Paperwork submitted on time
  • Reduce rework by providing accurate detailed drawings
  • Other job duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Confined space and forklift training and certification will be provided by company as needed
  • At least 2 years of experience working in stormwater treatment and maintenance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Enthusiasm and passion for the business and achieving organizational goals
  • Team player able to share thoughts openly, accept new ideas and get the job done
  • First aid and CPR training provided by company
  • Ability to use small hand tools as well as larger equipment
  • Drivers license in good standing
  • Endure intermittent bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, stooping and reaching
  • Able to work in tight/confined spaces
  • Ascending or descending ladders up to 30 feet deep
  • Standing for extended period of time
  • Able to work under extreme conditions such as hot/cold temperatures, noise, dust, and dirt
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs
