Liebherr USA Co is seeking a Field Service Engineer to diagnose, repair and overhaul crawler cranes and foundation equipment, test performance and ensure parts meet manufacturer specs. The role is onsite in Frenchtown, NJ with travel up to 90 percent domestically and internationally. You will apply electrical and mechanical theory, read manuals and blueprints, dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment, and uphold safety and quality standards while handling required paperwork. Requirements: high school diploma or GED and at least three years as a crane technician; valid driver’s license and passport; willingness to overtime and be on call. Diagnose, adjust, repair or overhaul mobile equipment such as crawler cranes, drilling rigs, etc. Repair virtually any part on cranes either on the LNC yard, in the shop or in the field. Apply electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify operational electrical machinery and electrical control equipment and circuitry. Apply mechanical theory and related knowledge to test and modify operational machinery and equipment. Operate mechanical boom and cable equipment to troubleshoot machine problems and evaluate correctness and completeness of repairs that have been done on the machine. Sets the positive example in punctuality and professional demeanor by respectful communication with all levels of staff, keeping work areas clean and orderly, and promoting safety regulations and all other company programs.
