Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our Hagglunds division, based at our Cardiff, NSW branch.

In this hands-on role, you will play a key part in supporting our customers across a range of industries by responding to service needs, conducting fault diagnosis, and carrying out installation and maintenance of Bosch Rexroth Hagglunds hydraulic drive systems. Your technical expertise, strong problem-solving ability, and commitment to customer service will ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient outcomes that drive customer satisfaction and contribute to ongoing aftermarket success.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Respond to customer service and breakdown requests promptly and professionally, carrying out on-site inspections, repairs, and system testing to minimise downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Perform installation, commissioning, and modernisation of large hydraulic drive systems and associated equipment, ensuring all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Conduct hydraulic system fault-finding and troubleshooting, including detailed product analysis, testing, and preparation of comprehensive service reports.
  • Act as a trusted technical contact by maintaining regular communication with customers, offering tailored solutions, identifying further repair or spare parts opportunities, and preparing service quotations.
  • Upload and manage all relevant service documentation including service reports, vendor quotes, delivery dockets, and ensure quality control through accurate and complete records.
  • Oversee the ordering, gathering, and installation of components; perform follow-up tests as required while maintaining strict customer confidentiality and upholding the Bosch Rexroth brand with professionalism.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen
  • Trade qualification as a Hydraulic Fitter (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in field service and/or hydraulic system maintenance
  • Strong hydraulic system knowledge and diagnostic ability
  • High attention to quality, safety and detail
  • Proactive and results-driven mindset
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
