UniTek Global Services seeks a Field Supervisor in Florence, SC to oversee independent technicians in the field using a company vehicle. The role focuses on safe, efficient locating of underground utilities and on supervising technicians or subcontractors in searches, marking locations, completing paperwork and photographing each locate. You’ll document issues on a laptop or tablet, work outdoors in all weather, and engage customers to resolve problems professionally. Requirements include at least two years as a utility locator, some supervisory experience, a valid driver's license with a clean record, 21 years of age or older, willingness to overtime, and passing a background and drug screen; benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life and 401k.

 This position supervises independent technicians in the field using a company provided vehicle. 

-be responsible for and knowledgeable in the correct, safe, and efficient locating of underground utilities including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water and sewer systems 

-be adept at supervising and instructing technicians or (subcontractors) in thoroughly searching for underground utilities in a designated area, properly marking the location, completing the necessary paperwork, and photographing each locate 

-be comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather conditions and using a company provided laptop and/or tablet to document services and problems 

-be experienced at working directly with customers and resolving problems in a professional manner 

-be enthusiastic, self-motivated, safety conscious, and independent 

Basic Qualifications:  

-2 years of experience as a utility locator required. 

-Prior supervisory experience preferred. 

-21 years of age or older. 

-Valid driver's license. 

-Clean driving record. 

Position Requirements: 

-Experience with various brands of locating equipment. 

-Working experience of underground construction and fiber builds. 

-City, County and State clearance code knowledge and related. 

-Willing to work outdoors in all types of weather and work overtime as required. 

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong command of the English language is required
