ICG is seeking a Finance Coordinator for DOZR, a full-time remote-first role based in Canada, with a paid one-day on-site in Toronto if needed. You’ll own invoicing and billing, AR and collections, AP and supplier payouts, sales commissions, month-end close, plus insurance claims and automation. The role demands founder-level ownership, curiosity with teeth, data-driven rigor, and tough conversations with payers. The right candidate has bookkeeping, billing or AR/AP experience, meticulousness, and drive to automate. Apply by tailoring your resume to show impact across the finance function, quantifying improvements, and demonstrating self-starting collaboration with sales and ops. Be ready for 2-3 interviews and the paid 1-day onsite if outside Toronto.

About Inspiration Commerce Group (ICG)
We’re a team of ~50 people who’ve done 6 acquisitions in 18 months and scaled from $0 to >$100M in revenue. We’re a global group with businesses across the US, UK, and EU. We buy and build companies that help people find and buy the products they love. Our portfolio includes leading fashion marketplaces like Italist, HEWI and Verishop, affiliate marketing platforms like Stylight and MyBestBrands, B2B technology solutions like Bonsai, and niche Marketplaces in the Creator and Construction spaces like Everpress and DOZR.

About the Role

We're looking for someone to join DOZR as a Finance Coordinator.

DOZR is a two-sided marketplace that helps contractors and DIYers rent the construction equipment they need, where and when they need it. Every rental on DOZR becomes an invoice, a payment, a supplier payout — and occasionally a damage claim. In this role you'll support the day-to-day financial operations that keep the marketplace running: billing customers, collecting payments, paying suppliers and keeping our books clean. Your job is to make sure money moves accurately and on time, in both directions.

This is a full-time, remote-first role based in Canada.

Things You'll Work On

  • Invoicing & Billing: you'll own customer billing end-to-end — generating accurate invoices for rentals (including extensions, overages, fuel and damage charges), issuing credits and adjustments when needed, and resolving billing disputes quickly and fairly.

  • AR & Collections: you'll run our receivables motion — monitoring aging, chasing down payment by phone and email, coordinating with our sales team on tricky accounts, and keeping DSO moving in the right direction. Construction is an industry of slow payers; your job is to make DOZR the invoice that gets paid first.

  • AP & Bank Payments: you'll prepare bank payment runs and supplier payouts, help process vendor bills, and make sure the businesses that rent out their equipment through us get paid accurately and on time. Suppliers trust us with million-dollar fleets — paying them reliably is core to that trust.

  • Sales Commissions: you'll own the monthly commissions process for our sales team — calculating payouts, validating the underlying deal data, resolving questions, and getting everything to payroll on time.

  • Bookkeeping Support: you'll support month-end close — coding transactions, reconciling accounts and payment processors, and helping with journal entries so we can close fast and trust the numbers.

  • Insurance Claims: you'll support claims when equipment is damaged or lost — gathering documentation, filing and tracking claims with insurers, and following each one through to recovery.

  • Automation & Better Systems: you'll embrace technology, modern tooling and AI to automate the repetitive parts of all of the above. We don't want to replace people, but we do want to replace monotonous, manual, repetitive work.

Attitudes

We don't care what your current job title is, how long you've been working, or whether you have a CPA. We do care about you being tightly aligned with our operating principles:

  • You're competitive and love to win. You're competitive and are always looking for an edge. You have a high bar (some would say "unrealistic") for yourself and those you work with.

  • You do whatever it takes. You're willing to do what others won't to achieve what others can't. What we're doing is hard. Really hard. Sacrifices are required in the pursuit of greatness, and we're chasing greatness.

  • Founder-level ownership. If something breaks, you fix it. If there's an opportunity, you chase it. You (and we) never say "that's not my job".

  • Curiosity with teeth. You don't just ask why something isn't working — you dig until you know, then you ship a fix.

  • You ask for forgiveness, not permission.

  • You're a self-starter. You love being in the weeds and rolling up your sleeves to get things done. You never let roadblocks get in the way of getting things done; the laws of physics alone dictate what you can do.

  • You have excellent analytical skills. The term 'quantitative rigour' gets you excited. You love using data to help identify problems, discover opportunities, and substantiate your ideas.

Who this role is right for

  • Someone with a foundation in bookkeeping, billing or AR/AP who wants broad exposure across a full finance function instead of a narrow silo

  • Someone meticulous — you catch the $12 discrepancy, you don't let an invoice go out wrong, and an unreconciled account genuinely bothers you

  • Someone comfortable picking up the phone — collections is a people job, and you can be friendly and firm in the same conversation

  • Someone who wants to automate the boring parts of their own job and reinvest that time in higher-value work

Who this role is not right for

  • People who want a stable, predictable or repetitive role/set of tasks

  • People looking for active mentorship (i.e. you'd rather have someone tell you exactly what to do vs. figure it out on your own)

  • People who are excited about building and managing a team vs handing the details themselves

  • People who find comfort in following a playbook

  • People who don't want to be in the weeds, spending hours querying a database and slicing the data to find new insights and hypotheses to test

  • People who prefer stability over speed or "strategy over execution"

Logistics/Next Steps

  • Process: everyone will hear back within 3 days of applying. Our process involves calls with 2-3 members of our team. You'll also complete 1-day working session (paid, on-site in Toronto, if you're outside of Toronto we'll fly you in).

  • Work Setup: we operate Remote-first with some time spent In-Person together throughout the year as needed.

  • Working Hours: we trust team members to manage their own schedules and believe that taking time off to recharge makes you more productive in the long run. That said, we’re early enough that everyone’s work makes a big difference on the company’s trajectory. As a result, our team finds hard work fulfilling when we know it will be impactful.
