Daniels Health seeks a Finance Lead focused on continuous improvement in Dandenong South, offering hybrid work and a role transforming finance processes rather than routine month end. Ideal candidates are CA/CPA with 5+ years in financial or management accounting and proven continuous improvement experience in process mapping, data validation and stakeholder management. To apply, tailor your CV to quantify improvements, highlight collaboration with stakeholders and change leadership, and note your onsite availability in Melbourne's south east.
Finance Lead – Continuous Improvement
Daniels Health – Dandenong South (Hybrid)
Looking for a finance role where you use your accounting skills to make things work better, rather than running the same month‑end cycle every month? Join Daniels Health in a finance role focused on continuous improvement across our Australian finance team.
About Daniels Health
Daniels Health is a global healthcare services business founded in Australia and now operating across multiple international markets. Known for its innovative approach to medical waste management and reusable containment solutions, the business continues to grow and invest in the systems, processes and people needed to support that growth. As Daniels Health continues to scale, the finance team plays an important role in improving reporting, processes and operational support across the business.
The role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a continuous‑improvement‑focused role within the Australian finance function, with limited BAU accounting responsibilities. You will work closely with finance and operational stakeholders to understand how things are done today, identify pain points and opportunities, and then design and embed better ways of working that support Daniels Health’s growth and service commitments.
Your work will typically involve:
Mapping “as‑is” finance and accounting processes and identifying where things are manual, unclear or prone to error.
Prioritising and delivering practical improvement initiatives that make month‑end, reporting and reconciliations smoother and more consistent.
Standardising templates, checklists and basic reporting across Australian sites to reduce variation and rework.
Supporting small system and tool changes from a finance perspective (testing changes, checking data, updating simple documentation).
Tidying up and simplifying documentation of key processes and controls so they are easy to follow and maintain.
Coaching and supporting the finance team through changes so improvements actually stick in BAU.
You sit alongside the BAU team: you are not responsible for running the core transactional cycle but for helping the team work smarter and more efficiently over time.
About you
You are a finance or accounting professional who enjoys solving problems, simplifying processes and helping teams work better.
You will likely have:
CA/CPA (or equivalent) and 5+ years' experience in financial or management accounting.
Experience in continuous improvement, “change on top of BAU” or finance process enhancement work.
A practical, hands‑on approach to mapping, analysing and improving processes.
Confidence working with finance systems and data (comfortable testing and validating changes, without needing to be a systems expert).
Strong communication and stakeholder skills, with the ability to listen, clarify needs and bring people on the journey with incremental change.
What’s on offer
A finance role centred on continuous improvement, with minimal repetitive BAU responsibilities.
The opportunity to make visible, incremental improvements to how finance operates across Daniels Health’s Australian operations.
Exposure across multiple finance processes, operational teams and senior stakeholders.
Hybrid working model, based at Dandenong South – ideal for candidates in Melbourne’s South East and Bayside.
How to apply
Apply with your CV if you are currently in a Finance Manager, Senior Accountant or finance‑focused continuous improvement role and want to focus on practical, value‑add change work.
