As Finance Manager – Fleet, you’ll play a key role in translating complex fleet and aircraft assumptions into clear financial insight for senior leaders. You’ll support fleet rollover and renewal business cases, optimal fleet age analysis, aircraft investment decisions, fleet economics, and the financial impacts of 5-year and 10-year planning. You’ll also provide strategic oversight of fleet and aircraft assumptions, risks and opportunities, while leading and coaching Senior Finance Analysts supporting Fleet, Engineering Projects, Engines and Commercial portfolios.

What you’ll bring

  • Professional accounting qualification, such as CA or CPA.
  • Minimum seven years’ post-graduate accounting experience, ideally gained in a complex, fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Strong financial modelling, problem-solving and commercial acumen, with the ability to simplify complex information for senior stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting business cases, investment decisions, budgeting, forecasting and performance insight.
  • Advanced capability across Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with TM1 and Oracle Financials exposure highly regarded.
  • Aviation experience is preferred, but not essential.
  • A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to influence, build trusted relationships and work across multiple stakeholder groups.

What you’ll be doing

  • Partner with Fleet Strategy, Commercial, Operations, Engineering and Qantas Group stakeholders to provide finance insight for fleet planning decisions.
  • Lead finance support for fleet investment business cases, including NPVs, capex and opex impacts, funding implications, risk assessment and alignment to business plans.
  • Support strategic planning for the rollover of narrowbody fleet from A320ceo family to A320neo family aircraft.
  • Provide oversight of fleet and aircraft forecast assumptions, risks, opportunities, budget movements and long-term planning impacts.
  • Prepare and review executive-level materials for senior leadership forums.
  • Lead and coach Senior Finance Analysts, while supporting cross-training and knowledge sharing across the Engineering Finance team.

Why join us?

This is an opportunity to influence some of Jetstar’s most significant fleet and investment decisions, working at the intersection of finance, strategy, operations and long-term planning. You’ll partner with senior stakeholders across Jetstar and Qantas Group, lead a capable analyst team, and help shape the financial thinking behind future fleet strategy.
