Your role as a Financial Accountant

As a Financial Accountant at Ranpak, you play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You work closely with project teams and business stakeholders to control project spend, manage the fixed asset ledger, and ensure proper balance sheet reconciliation. You will be responsible for variance analysis, supporting audits, and contributing to continuous improvements in financial processes and internal controls. You will also assist with compliance reporting, including requirements around CSRD.

Your responsibilities

  • Controlling current projects and the fixed asset ledger managing over 80.000 machines
  • Maintaining close contact with business stakeholders to ensure project alignment
  • Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations related to assets and projects
  • Investigating discrepancies or outstanding items and resolving them timely
  • Preparing documentation for auditors and management reviews
  • Supporting internal and external audits and statutory financial statements
  • Assisting in process improvement projects and control enhancements
  • Preparing and presenting monthly variance analysis for EMEA and APAC regions
  • Contributing to CSRD-related reporting and note preparation

Your profile

You are an accurate and hands-on finance professional with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on deadlines and details. You enjoy working both independently and in a team setting.

  • 2–3 years of proven experience in General Ledger Accounting
  • Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
  • Full professional proficiency in English (spoken and written)
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
  • Good computer skills, especially Excel (pivot tables)
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP Hana (preferred)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Hands-on mentality and attention to detail
