Future Skills is inviting expressions of interest from experienced financial services professionals who want to teach the NZ Certificate in Financial Services (Investments) and the Residential Property Lending strand, in a remote flexible capacity that can be part time, full time or contract with evenings and weekends. The role emphasizes applied learner centred teaching, program development and quality improvement. Core requirements include a NZQCF Level 5 qualification or equivalent, cultural communication and a demonstrated commitment to learner success; preferred extras include prior tutoring or tertiary teaching, a teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one, and familiarity with Moodle and Microsoft. As a lecturer, you will provide engaging, applied Financial Services education that supports learners to build strong technical foundations, soft skills and career progression in this industry.
You will help learners understand real-world concepts, support them through assessments, and contribute to programme development, pastoral care, and continuous quality improvement.
We offer multiple delivery options including evenings, weekends, block courses, part-time and full-time, allowing you to balance teaching alongside working in the industry, if desired.
This role is ideal for someone with relevant industry background, who will thrive in an educational setting, enjoys mentoring emerging professionals and has a strong commitment to learner success.
