Reporting to the Energy and Infrastructure Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform your duties as a member of the Energy & Infrastructure department and collaborate with other departments of the division. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.
Operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs to wastewater & potable water treatment plant;
Ensures the proper functioning of the fixed equipment, related to potable water treatment plant, sewage treatment plant Inspect ancillary equipment (lift stations, hoses, heat trace etc.);
Troubleshoot operating problems and perform necessary corrective actions;
Conduct regular inspections of all areas for defects and opportunities for continual improvement;
Safely operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license;
Maintain a log of daily activities and system logs as required. Demonstrate awareness and commitment to health, community, environmental protection, and take action to ensure that unsafe practices or non-compliant behaviors do not occur.
Water and/or Wastewater treatment operator certification an asset;
Experience with membrane biological reactor (MBR) treatment plants;
Minimum 5 years of experience in wastewater treatment activities required;
For health and safety reasons, vaccination against hepatitis A and B is required;
Driver’s license Class 5 or equivalent;
Possess the physical requirements to perform the job;
Possess a good work ethic, a positive attitude with the ability to work in a team;
Experience working in a multicultural environment;
Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Your Work Schedule:
Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
