Auterion seeks a Flight Test Engineer in Munich to own end-to-end UAS test operations, sustain a fleet of test platforms, collaborate with engineering on test plans, and become the go-to expert for Skynode, PX4, AuterionOS and Mission Control. Our Zurich-based core engineering team explores, develops, and delivers new cutting-edge technologies that serve as the foundation of current and future drone products. We have further offices in the USA and Germany and several remote working talents developing an open source based software platform, connecting multiple drone, camera and other sensor OEMs with enterprise and government users and third party data processing providers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Own flight test operations to validate Auterions software for UAS end2end
• Liaise with engineering to define methods to test and create test plans
• Create and maintain a large fleet of test platforms hands-on
• Validate the system performance and quality according to the test plans and address test results in well documented reports
• Become a subject-matter-expert on Auterion hardware and software, including Skynode, PX4, AuterionOS, Auterion Mission Control, and Auterion Suite

Qualifications and Skills:

• B.Eng. or M.Sc. in Aerospace, robotics or related fields
• Ability to test and debug systematically to provide clear feedback to the development team
• Structured and procedure oriented way of working. Prior experience in test engineering is a strong plus
• Strong experience in flying and building drones or autonomous vehicles, PX4 knowledge is a plus
• CAD design, 3D printing, soldering, mounting and wiring of electronic subassemblies
• Knowledge of EU safety regulations regarding testing and flying UAS
• EU-Drone License A1/A3, A2 is a plus
• EU citizenship required
