Mackenzie Health is seeking a full-time Food Service Attendant to support the Food and Nutrition Services team in a long term care setting. Responsibilities include patient meal service, basic food preparation, and cleaning and sanitizing dishes and equipment, plus general departmental duties. To apply effectively, highlight your valid Food Safety Proton Certificate, enrollment in or completion of a Food Service Worker program, and your ability to push carts, stand for long periods, work in cold environments, lift heavy boxes, read recipes and production sheets, and understand therapeutic diets. Emphasize reliable attendance, safety and empathy in line with Mackenzie Health values. The Food Service Attendant will provide support to the department of Food and Nutrition Services by completing the food service and sanitation tasks as assigned including clean-up of patient/services dishes and Food Services equipment, carrying out food preparation for patients as appropriate and general departmental cleaning as required.
