About the Role

We are currently seeking a Food Services Assistant (FSA) to join the team on a casual basis.

You will be responsible for the making and preparing all short order food and drinks (including modified fluids), cleaning and dishwashing patient meal trays.  You will also be responsible for the relevant working area in accordance with the food safety plan and all production schedules and demands

  • Prepare short order food/beverages as required

  • Monitor waste management

  • Ensure kitchen hygiene, Food Safety and cleanliness standards are adhered too, including thorough kitchen cleaning and sanitizing

  • Inform coordinators of required food stock levels

  • Prepare sandwiches & salads on weekends

Classifications for this position will range from IN13 - IN14 ($24.87 - $27.07 per hour plus casual loading)

Your Contribution

  • Food Safety Certificate HLTFSE001

  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen

  • Previous experience in an Aged Care environment (desirable)

  • A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain

About the Team

St George’s Health Service, located in Kew, provides a comprehensive aged care service, including inpatient care, evaluation and management, residential aged care, rehabilitation, acute psychiatry, as well as a broad range of community-based assessment and treatment services. Support Services provides all Environmental & Food Services to the hospital.
