The Electrical Foreman is responsible for supervising electricians and technical staff on site, ensuring electrical works are executed efficiently, safely, and according to project specifications.

 

Key Responsibilities Site Supervision

  • Directly supervise electricians, technicians, and helpers on site.
  • Ensure electrical works are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
  • Monitor daily progress and report to the Electrical Supervisor.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Assist in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and layouts.
  • Ensure proper installation of LV/HV systems, lighting, power distribution, earthing, lightning protection, and ELV systems.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities under guidance.

Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with other MEP trades to avoid clashes and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Communicate daily progress, issues, and requirements to the Electrical Supervisor.

Planning & Material Control

  • Ensure availability of required tools and materials for daily activities.
  • Monitor proper usage of materials and report any shortages.
  • Assign tasks and manage manpower efficiently.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Enforce site safety rules and HSE policies among the team.
  • Conduct safety briefings for electricians and helpers under supervision of the Supervisor.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain daily work records and assist in preparation of reports.
  • Assist in documenting inspection requests (IRs), test reports, and other required paperwork.
