TE Connectivity is seeking an FP&A Analyst (m/f/d) to join its onsite team in Bensheim, Germany. This full‑time role sits within TE’s global finance network, delivering planning, budgeting and day‑to‑day business support to ICT Global ENG and Global PjM. TE positions itself as a global industrial technology leader aiming to make the world safer, more sustainable and better connected, with more than 90,000 employees and 10,000 engineers across roughly 130 countries. The right person will enjoy working across functions, turning data into actionable insights, and helping engineering and project teams sharpen cost transparency and forecast accuracy.

In practice, you’ll partner with engineering leaders, project teams, procurement and finance partners to keep plans aligned with reality. The role combines long-range planning with hands‑on financial support, including budgeting, forecasting, and the monthly close, while keeping an eye on NPI project spending and the total cost of engineering investments like talent, labs, machinery and tools. It’s a role for someone who values collaboration across engineering, operations, HR and controlling, and who wants to help improve the quality of business decisions through disciplined analysis.

Across the year, you’ll drive the rhythm of TE’s numbers by coordinating the annual operating plan, regular forecasts and long‑range plans, and you’ll support close activities such as accruals, account reviews and reconciliations. You’ll dig into variances to identify drivers, quantify risks and opportunities, and present practical recommendations. You’ll act as a responsive finance partner for requests, expense classifications, cost‑center questions and policy queries, while keeping a clear view of engineering spend from approval to execution. You’ll build financial analyses and business cases for investments in people, facilities, equipment and external services, and you’ll manage how engineering costs are allocated across business units to keep forecasting honest and transparent. Finally, you’ll help simplify reporting, improve data quality and look for automation opportunities, collaborating with teams around the globe.

Keeping TE’s numbers honest in Bensheim

Day to day, this role blends planning with practical finance support. You’ll help shape the budget and forecast cadence, ensure timelines and templates are aligned with budget owners, and support a clean month‑end close with accurate accruals and reconciliations. When variances show up, you’ll uncover the underlying drivers and translate them into clear actions. You’ll partner with engineering leaders and cost‑centre owners on requests, classifications and policy questions, and you’ll keep a tight watch on NPI project spend from the point of approval through execution, maintaining visibility into actuals, commitments, forecast to complete, and total expected cost. In addition, you’ll develop financial analyses and business cases that cover talent, labs, machinery, equipment and other capabilities, while managing cost allocations so methodologies stay transparent and aligned with stakeholders. You’ll also reinforce internal controls and adherence to policies, and you’ll push for standardization, better data quality and opportunities for automation, all while collaborating with colleagues across global Engineering, PjM, Operations, HR and Corp Controlling.

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or a related field
  • Three to five years of relevant FP&A experience, with possible adjustment based on local band guidelines
  • Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, variance analysis and month‑end close processes
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to build financial models
  • Ability to handle large data sets, reconcile information from multiple sources, identify patterns and translate analysis into practical business insights
  • Fluent business English and the ability to work effectively across functions, cultures and time zones

Advice for applicants

Lead your resume with the credentials that matter here: your degree area (finance, accounting, economics or business administration) and your FP&A experience, ideally three to five years, framed around budgeting, forecasting and month‑end close. Highlight a concrete project where you helped improve forecast accuracy or cost visibility, and mention how you worked with engineering or cross‑functional partners to drive results.

Show how you prove you have the must‑have skills by sharing a story about handling large data sets and reconciling data from multiple sources. Describe the steps you took to uncover patterns and the concrete business actions that followed, such as adjusting cost allocations or influencing investment decisions.

Be ready for interviews with a short case or scenario around NPI spending and engineering investments. They’ll likely want to see how you track actuals, commitments and forecast to complete, and how you assess risks and opportunities for engineering projects.

Ask about cross‑functional teamwork and how forecast accuracy is measured in practice. A smart question could be how the role collaborates with Engineering, PjM, Operations and HR to align plans and drive better business decisions, and what metrics the team uses to gauge forecast reliability across borders and time zones.
