GetYourGuide is seeking a freelance Localization Operations Coordinator to scale our localization efforts. This role (15-20 hours per week) runs for at least six months with potential extension and is remote with a Berlin base; payment is by invoice with VAT if applicable. You will drive project assignments, act as the main contact for planning requests, ensure the right resources, and support communications around operations, workflows and technical questions. You’ll identify gaps, propose best practices, and help roll out a freelance management solution while monitoring language productivity and assisting with TMS and TM management. The role

We are looking for a freelance Localization Freelance Operations Coordinator to help us scale our global localization operations to the next level. You will mainly drive excellent project assignments and help the localization team implement the most efficient processes and workflows.

Your mission

• Drive excellent project assignment and coordination
• Be the main point of contact for our team and stakeholders to plan and deliver incoming project requests
• Make sure we have the right resources in place to deliver on-time projects
• Support as point of contact for all communication regarding operations, workflows, productivity and technical queries
• Identify operational gaps and suggest best practices and process improvements, support rollouts of freelance management solution
• Monitor and report on productivity per language 
• Define continuous improvements for our Translation Management System, MT setup and Translation Memory management and assist in troubleshooting, bug reporting and communication on both user and tech side

Your toolkit

• 6+ months experience in a similar localization position, with a coordination, operations, or vendor management background
• Drive excellent project coordination on our Jira project management board or similar project coordination/management tools
• Experience working with complex workflows and high-volume projects is a big plus
• Fluent English speaker
• Strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail
• Pragmatic, positive mindset and takes initiative to make things happen
• Strong team player, fostering collaboration with internal & external stakeholders
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

This is a limited freelance position based in Berlin. Payment follows via invoice with VAT added, if applicable.
