Aramex is seeking an onsite Freight Operations Executive in Leicester to own end-to-end control of Roadfreight shipments, blending precise administration with practical, hands-on oversight. The role involves arranging collections with third party transport suppliers, updating statuses, scanning freight, logging outturns, and issuing adjusted delivery notes while securing cost effective quotes through supplier comparison. You’ll produce Excel reports for the accounts team, liaise between hauliers, customers and depots to resolve transport queries, maintain the internal TMS, create run sheets, manage bookings and EDIs, and chase PODs to ensure smooth movement through the depot with strong customer service. Purpose of the Job

Responsible for end-to-end control of shipments coming into and out of Roadfreight department. Highly focused, operational and administrative role so attention to details is essential.

Job Description

  • Arrange collections with third party transport suppliers.
  • Update collection and delivery status in a timely manner.
  • Scanning of freight into and out of the depot.
  • Log and report daily outturn reports, cross-reference any discrepancies and providing new delivery notes with amended details where applicable.
  • Contact hauliers to provide quotations for special collections and deliveries, comparing suppliers to find the most cost-effective solution.
  • Excel reporting to accounts team all shipments with special transport rate agreements or additional customer charges.
  • Monitor and resolve transport queries by liaising between transport provider, customer and other depots.
  • Ensure internal TMS is accurate and updated in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for creating and issuing run sheets detailing collections and deliveries for each supplier.
  • Data entry with attention to detail.
  • Customer service – dealing with queries from customers, subcontractors and drivers. Assisting them via face to face, phone and email whilst ensuring satisfactory and timely resolution.
  • Creating bookings on our internal system.
  • Completing KPI customer reports.
  • Provide spot quotes for customers when requested.
  • Responsible for updating web bookings made on internal system.
  • Responsible for processing EDIs received from customers.
  • Monitor and scan all PODs onto internal systems, chasing any that may be outstanding from subcontractors.
  • All related administrative activities in Roadfreight department.
  • Working with transport and warehouse teams to ensure smooth and efficient movement of shipments through the depot.

Job Requirements - Experience and Education
