Junior Structural Engineer

A Junior Structural Engineer assists in the design, analysis, and inspection of structural systems for residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. Working under the supervision of senior engineers, the role involves preparing calculations, drawings, technical reports, and supporting project execution while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the structural design and analysis of buildings and other structures.
  • Prepare structural calculations, reports, and design documentation.
  • Develop and review structural drawings and details using engineering software.
  • Support the preparation of construction documents, specifications, and material schedules.
  • Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and other project team members.
  • Review shop drawings and technical submittals for compliance with project requirements.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and quality.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving structural design and construction issues.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain project records and technical documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
  • 0–5 years of experience in structural engineering or construction projects.
  • Knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel structure design principles.
  • Familiarity with local and international design codes and standards.

Technical Skills:

  • Structural analysis software (ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, etc.)
  • AutoCAD and Revit (preferred)
  • Structural calculations and drafting
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Technical report preparation
