Strategically located in Hemmant near the Port of Brisbane, the JBS Cold Store facility receives a high volume of truck and container loads of product from all the JBS sites around Australia, which are then re-loaded for our domestic and international customer orders and readied for transport. Our Hemmant facility employs approximately 200 team members, operating 5 days per week.

 

About the Role

The JBS Hemmant Cold Stores is currently recruiting an experienced Food Safety Quality Assurance Officer (FSQA) to join the team in a full-time position. Reporting to the Food Safety Supervisor and supporting the Afternoon Shift team, the FSQA Officer will play an integral role in monitoring, reporting, and rectifying issues within product, hygiene and food safety throughout the warehouse.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring daily pre-operational and operational hygiene procedures
  • Compiling when necessary, COA assessed from monitoring sheets and ensuring all forms used for monitoring are completed and forwarded to the manager on a daily basis
  • Monitoring Export Port-mark loads to various countries
  • Ensuring E-coli procedures are followed, and documentation is recorded accurately
  • Ensuring samples required by the laboratory are collected and delivered without delay
  • Notify management of any inadequacy in programs or processing procedure
  • Participate in internal audits when required
  • Reporting any inadequacy in approved programs or processing procedures to the Food Safety Supervisor
  • Undertaking other related activities as directed by Food Safety Supervisor or Site Manager
  • Monitoring and recording the blast product
