Powertech is seeking a skilled Fuel and Engine Fluids Technician to join our Air Propulsion team. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our engines during testing by managing fuel, oil, and hydraulic fluid systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and accuracy in high-performance environments.
Monitor, fill, and maintain correct levels of fuel, oil, and hydraulic fluids in engines.
Perform routine checks and maintenance on auxiliary systems to support testing operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve fluid-related issues, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Inspect fittings, connections, and systems to ensure reliable performance.
Maintain detailed records of fluids added and used during each test.
Collaborate with Installation and Instrumentation Technicians.
Adhere to company and test facility safety policies, procedures, and emergency plans.
Provide regular updates and flag concerns to the Engine Test Facilities Manager.
Experience: 5–7 years in a relevant field, preferably aerospace.
Technical Knowledge:
Fuels, lubricants, coolants, and hydraulic fluids.
Fluid handling, storage, and delivery mechanisms.
Preventive and corrective maintenance on fluid systems.
Diagnosing and inspecting fuel and fluid systems.
Skills:
High accuracy in fluid measurement and record-keeping.
Strong knowledge of safety protocols and compliance standards.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
