Job Summary

We are looking for an automation engineering graduate, to be based in our Macro Automation Auckland office, focusing primarily on the dairy and beverage industries.
As an Automation Engineer you will be part of our fast-moving team delivering market leading automation solutions to our customers.

What you will do

As an Automation Engineer, you will:

  • Complete an extensive introductory training program
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to develop solutions for our customers
  • Contribute to technical development and technical support
  • Grow your ability to lead technical discussions internally and externally
  • Assist with quotation, design, development, testing, and final delivery of projects
  • Travel both locally and internationally to support the delivery of our projects
  • Act as an ambassador for Macro Automation & Tetra Pak
  • Be ready to start with us in January 2027

  • Exposure to different programming environments
  • A logical thought process
  • Excellent problem-solving skills that can be applied in a range of different situations
  • A strong work ethic, willing to work hard to ensure a positive outcome
  • Strong communication skills
  • A detail-focused mindset
  • A university degree in engineering specializing in automation/software/mechatronics or electrical
  • New Zealand or Australian residency with full working rights
  • Full New Zealand Drivers License
