Colas are responsible for the eight-year Maintenance & Response contract for National Highways Area 9, covering around 2,300 miles of the Strategic Road Network across the Midlands region.
We’re looking for an experienced Ganger based at our Coleshill Depot, B46 3HN to lead highways maintenance and ZRT teams, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This role is mainly night shifts, although some rotation may be required. You’ll play a key role in maintaining vital transport routes and supporting incident response, severe weather operations, and minor works across a critical UK transport network.

As a Ganger your duties will include but not be limited to the following:
• Leading and motivating operational teams on-site
• Delivering daily briefings and allocating work
• Ensuring all health & safety documentation is completed correctly
• Supporting incident response and winter maintenance activities
• Carrying out toolbox talks and site safety audits
• Working closely with planners, supervisors, and subcontractors
• Promoting a strong safety-first culture across all operations
As a Ganger, we are looking for:
