Summerset Casebrook is seeking an experienced Gardener to join our village property team on a casual on-site basis in Christchurch. You’ll support daily garden maintenance and assist with planning and reporting on work plans and budgets, keeping gardens and grounds tidy and welcoming for residents and staff. This is an if and when required casual contract during peak growth periods and staff leave. The ideal candidate has gardening or landscaping experience and a genuine passion for creating great environments, with a collaborative mindset, good fitness and strong time management. Summerset Casebrook is looking for an experienced Gardener to join the property team at our village!

About the Role:
This is a busy and diverse role, assisting the Property Manager with day-to-day garden maintenance activities, such as trimming, planting and weeding and lawn mowing. Therefore, you will need to be organised and efficient, while a good level of fitness will prove useful for delivering the best in service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring well maintained, beautiful gardens and landscapes
• Ensuring the buildings, grounds and amenities are kept clean and tidy for residents, families and staff to enjoy
• Working with the Property Manager & Village Manager to plan, manage and report on work plans and budgets
• Maintaining a professional, friendly and welcoming appearance and manner for all residents & families

This is a casual contract working on and 'if and when required' basis - in particular during peak growth periods & to provide cover during staff leave.

About You:
Ideally you will have gardening or landscaping experience. But more important to us will be your genuine passion for creating great environments and love for all kinds of people from all walks of life. Flexibility is key, as work hours will vary based on seasonal demands and team availability.

• Experience in creating and maintain great gardens, domestically or commercially
