Summerset at Karaka is seeking a hands-on, reliable Gardener for a fixed-term 40-hour week from August to October 2026, onsite in Auckland. You’ll support the Property Manager with day-to-day maintenance of village gardens and outdoor spaces, follow landscaping plans, and keep buildings and shared areas clean tidy and safe while coordinating rubbish removal in line with local requirements. You’ll work with the Property and Village Managers to plan and report on maintenance tasks and budgets, and help foster a positive village environment by being professional and welcoming. Experience in gardening or a horticultural qualification is ideal, but genuine passion and a respectful, can-do attitude matter most. This is a full time 40 hour fixed term role from August - October 2026, Monday - Friday 8 - 4:30pm.
Ideally, you’ll bring experience in gardening or landscaping and relevant horticultural qualification—but what matters most to us is your genuine passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces and your warm, respectful approach to people from all walks of life.
You’ll be a team player who can also work independently, managing your time effectively to ensure daily tasks are completed to a high standard. Being well-organised, efficient, and physically fit will help you thrive in this hands-on role and deliver great service to our residents.
