OceanaGold is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer for Macraes, NZ, a full-time onsite role. You will plan and execute geotechnical investigations, assist with tailings facility monitoring, support mine planning and consenting, and provide geotechnical input across open pit and underground operations. Requirements include 8+ years of relevant experience, a tertiary qualification in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology, a current NZ driver’s licence (manual), and immediate working rights for New Zealand. The role emphasizes GCMP and PHMP familiarity, risk-based decision making, modelling, budgeting and cross-functional collaboration. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your Geotechnical Engineering experience to Macraes mine. This position will involve undertaking and managing geotechnical project work and supporting other geotechnical functions at the mine including; tailings facility management, geotechnical drilling and investigations, mine planning and consenting, project studies, underground and open pit operation monitoring, risk assessment, earthworks construction and other infrastructure.
