The Role
Based out of Megaport’s Brisbane Headquarters, the Global Head of People & Culture will report to the Chief Legal Officer, the executive responsible for the global People & Culture function of the Megaport Group.
This role combines strategic partnership with operational leadership, ensuring Megaport's people strategy is effectively executed across the business globally.
You'll lead the Global People & Culture team and drive the execution of Megaport's global people strategy, helping shape its ongoing evolution. This is a hands-on role, accountable for ensuring our people programs, talent acquisition activities, payroll, employee experience initiatives and people operations are executed effectively and consistently across the business.
You'll lead and develop the People & Culture team while coaching leaders across the organisation to attract, develop and retain exceptional talent and foster a high-performance, values-driven culture.
This role is ideal for a strong people leader who enjoys translating strategy into action, building scalable people practices, and delivering outcomes in a fast-moving global technology environment.
Lead the Global People Function
Lead and develop Megaport's Global People function, including the People Operations, Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition and Payroll teams.
Drive the evolution of People technology, automation and AI-enabled processes to improve employee experience and operational efficiency.
Establish meaningful people metrics and dashboards.
Ensure the effective delivery of people programs across all regions, and measure the effectiveness and ROI of these People initiatives.
Drive consistency, compliance and operational excellence across the employee lifecycle.
Foster a collaborative, high-performing and commercially minded People team.
Act as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders across the business to build high-performing teams
Support the Executive responsible for People in delivering strategic priorities.
Contribute to the development of people strategy through insights, operational expertise and business partnership.
Translate strategic direction into practical, scalable people initiatives.
Develop leadership capability and accountability across all levels of the organisation.
Design and embed leadership development and succession planning frameworks.
Partner with business leaders to support workforce planning and organisational growth.
Lead global recruitment strategy execution and hiring delivery.
Continuously improve recruitment processes, employer branding and candidate experience.
Monitor hiring metrics and drive continuous improvement in talent acquisition outcomes.
Own the global performance and talent management framework.
Drive succession planning and identify critical talent risks.
Support initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, wellbeing and belonging.
Partner with leaders to enhance team effectiveness and employee performance.
Champion Megaport's values and culture across all employee touchpoints.
Support organisational change initiatives and business transformation activities.
Lead by example, demonstrating integrity, curiosity, accountability and a growth mindset.
Oversee employee relations, policy management, payroll and people compliance activities.
Ensure employment practices align with legislative requirements across jurisdictions.
Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
Contribute to continuously improving the People & Culture function through projects and initiatives, systems, policies and procedures.
10+ years' experience across Human Resources, People & Culture or People Operations.
Demonstrated experience leading global People and Talent Acquisition functions across multiple geographies.
Experience scaling People functions in a high-growth organisation.
Experience implementing and managing HRIS and other people systems.
Experience supporting geographically distributed teams across multiple countries.
Experience partnering with executives on complex human resource matters, delivering presentations and supporting board reporting requirements.
Strong understanding of contemporary people practices, employee relations and employment legislation.
Experience within technology, SaaS or high-growth organisations.
Strong leadership capability with a track record of developing, inspiring and motivating high-performing teams while maintaining a hands-on approach.
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Commercial mindset with the ability to balance people outcomes and business objectives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
Ability to execute effectively in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Proven experience in managing high-pressure environments and delivering results within tight deadlines.
International People & Culture experience supporting executives, managers and employees in different countries and time zones (North America, Australia and Europe preferred).
