Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio application proficiency.
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Six Sigma/ Lean training a plus
  • MRP experience a plus (Oracle or SAP)
  • Knowledge of and experience US import and export regulations
  • Must be fluent in English, any other language is a plus

World Wide Technology Netherlands is offering an exciting opportunity for a Global Logistics Specialist II. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the daily execution of shipping activities — including load tendering, documentation preparation, tracking and tracing, and other logistics operations — for both domestic and international shipments originating from WWT warehouses, vendor sites, and remote facilities.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Demonstrates basic understanding of key terminology and key performance indicators in the industry.
  • Utilizes resources to complete tasks; tracks own efficiency using reports and tools.
  • Distinguishes between activities and tasks that add differing levels of value; begins to determine potential improvements to impact quality.
  • Identifies areas where efficiency and process improvement are needed within own work area.
  • Uses established tools and techniques to track progress related to implementing process improvements.
  • Develops an understanding of the company’s current tools and database system for records management.
  • Demonstrates understanding of current records management procedures by assisting with compiling documentation.
  • Assists with the maintenance of basic filing systems.
  • Collects information to understand problems and identify their origin.
  • Researches precedents and known solutions for basic or routine problems.
  • Implements prescribed steps and ensures effective resolution, escalating troubleshooting if needed.
