About the Role

Join our Digital Transformation team as an AI and Data Science Intern. This role is ideal for a motivated student or recent graduate passionate about artificial intelligence, machine learning, and digital innovation. You’ll help advance our digital landscape by performing AI/ML experiments and building practical solutions for operational and back-office projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate machine learning models for operational and back-office use cases.
  • Conduct AI and ML experiments using Python, Databricks, and Power Platform to solve real-world business challenges.
  • Explore and apply Generative AI, Computer Vision, and other advanced techniques to improve digital workflows and business processes.
  • Assist in data preparation, feature engineering, model training, validation, and deployment.
  • Document project workflows, results, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and future development.
  • Support the integration of AI tools and components into existing digital platforms.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Participate in special projects focused on digital transformation, automation, and innovation.

Education and Experience

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Python, Databricks, Power Platform, and Generative AI tools.
  • Basic understanding of machine learning concepts (e.g., supervised/unsupervised learning, regression, classification, clustering).
  • Exposure to AI techniques such as Generative AI, Computer Vision, or Natural Language Processing is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
  • Solution-focused mindset and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of SQL and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Compensation & Total Rewards

The base salary range for this role is $44,226 to $60,060 CAD, plus 4% vacation pay.

The hiring range reflects our targeted compensation framework for the role. The actual offer will be determined through a comprehensive evaluation of each candidate’s experience, capabilities, and potential impact, along with consideration of internal equity, team structure, and benchmark market data for similar positions.
