Verisign is seeking a Government Relations and Public Policy Manager in the Netherlands, full-time onsite, to develop and implement strategies influencing EU and UK public policy on internet governance, DNS management, cyber security, data privacy, and cross border data flows. You will gather intelligence on global regulatory developments, coordinate with policy experts, and ensure Verisign’s views are represented in government forums and industry groups. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree and at least five years in regulatory affairs or internet governance with EU exposure, strong legislative strategy, strategic communications, executive briefing, and stakeholder networking, plus comfort with Zoom, Webex and MS Office. Government Relations & Public Policy Manager supports the development and implementation of strategies to influence global regulatory and public policy formulation related to Internet governance, DNS management, cyber security, data privacy, cross border data flows, and other Internet related topics. The position contributes to Verisign’s understanding of the priorities of the European Union and governments across Europe and the United Kingdom and participates in development of company positions. The Manager identifies risks and opportunities for the company stemming from regulatory initiatives and multilateral fora. The position focuses on the role of governments in the global governance and regulation of DNS infrastructure providers and domain name registries. Additionally this role represents the organization's collaboratively developed interests in industry groups, trade associations and with national and international governmental and non-governmental entities.
