About the opportunity

As part of Process Development, you will join a team of over 100 engineers with diverse skills and expertise. Through collaboration and ingenuity, we design and implement the machines, processes and manufacturing lines that bring our products to life. Think of the systems behind ‘How It’s Made’, our engineers are responsible for creating and refining the specialised equipment that transforms raw materials into high-quality medical devices. We have opportunities for both Mechanical and Moulding process engineers.

Mechanical Process Development Engineers:

Designing, prototyping, testing and commissioning the equipment and assembly processes that manufacture our products, from manual jigs through to fully automated production systems. You will bring your CAD designs to life and see them operating on the production floor.

Moulding Process Development Engineers:

Working with toolmakers to develop injection mould tools and processes that form our components, getting hands-on with commissioning, optimisation and scaling these systems into high-volume production.

Some of the tasks your role may include are:

• Designing, building and testing manufacturing equipment and processes using tools such as water jet cutters, CNC mills, lathes, 3D printers, laser cutters and welders, and proving these out in our in-house prototyping and production labs.
• Collaborating with product development teams to ensure designs can be translated into robust, scalable manufacturing processes, turning concepts into something that can be reliably made at volume.
• Working closely with operations engineers and production teams to refine process requirements and evolve manufacturing systems once they are in use.

• Documentation plays an important part in ensuring that we are manufacturing quality medical devices. From capturing equipment performance through testing & analysis, creating operating and technical manuals and ensuring quality through our risk management systems.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• An undergraduate or postgraduate engineering degree, or you are a student completing your studies by the end of 2026, specialising in: Mechanical, Mechatronics, Engineering Science, Chemical and Materials or similar
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• A self-driven approach and eager to learn
• A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Previous project experience in mechanical, moulding and assembly processes will be advantageous
