Job Description

We are a passionate team of environmental impact assessors working within an organisation creating meaningful change both in Australia and globally. This role offers the chance to lead diverse, high-profile infrastructure assessment projects across energy, transport, and water sectors.

Being part of AECOM means applying your knowledge and expertise to influence positive environmental outcomes. With Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) principles embedded in everything we do, our Environment team works closely with designers and engineers to drive real change from the earliest stages of a project. 

This role is for an immediate start. 

How you’ll make a difference

  • Contribute to the delivery of environmental impact assessments and strategic advisory services across all phases of projects, from early planning and approvals through to construction and operation.
  • Support the coordination of projects across sectors including energy, transport, Defence and utilities, helping to manage project resources, budgets and timelines.
  • Collaborate with clients, multidisciplinary design teams and technical specialists to develop practical and sustainable project outcomes.
  • Build strong professional relationships while learning from experienced environmental planning and assessment professionals.
  • Be part of a supportive and passionate team, developing your technical, project management and consulting skills through a diverse range of projects.

  • Recently completed, or currently completing (with an expected completion date of mid-2026), a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning or Environmental Engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Australian citizenship as we need candidates who are able to get Defence clearance.  
  • Manual driver’s licence.
