Graduate Occupational Therapist
MedHealthMedHealth is seeking a Graduate Occupational Therapist to join its team onsite at Macquarie Park. This full-time role is part of a structured Graduate Program designed to help new grads build clinical confidence under the guidance of experienced occupational therapists. The organization focuses on evidence-based, person-centred rehabilitation to support people recovering from injury and illness. If you’re starting your OT career and want a clear path to growth, this opportunity could suit you well.
The Graduate Program is designed to help you develop your clinical skills from day one, with a clear pathway to advance. You’ll be supported by a team of allied health professionals and work toward helping clients regain independence, return to meaningful activities and achieve their health, life and work goals. The program is set to commence in February 2027, with a chance to learn across a broad range of rehabilitation tasks in a real-world setting.
Those who enjoy hands-on learning, meaningful impact, and a collaborative team environment will likely fit well. If you’re enthusiastic about starting a career that combines clinical practice with practical outcomes for clients, this program offers a concrete start to that journey.
A day-to-day you can expect
As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you’ll collaborate with a broader team of health professionals to support clients on their recovery journeys. Your OT skills will come into play as you help people regain independence, plan how they’ll return to work, and set achievable health and life goals. The work will cover a mix of functional and workplace assessments, ergonomics and manual handling, and equipment prescription paired with rehabilitation activities to build functional capacity. You’ll also be involved in case management and engaging with stakeholders, while contributing to clinical reporting and targeted interventions. No two days are alike, and that variety is part of what makes this pathway rewarding for new graduates.
The program uses a structured 12-month framework to accelerate your confidence and capability. You’ll receive dedicated mentorship from seasoned Occupational Therapists, a thorough onboarding, ongoing coaching and professional development, and a measured exposure to progressively more complex cases. Along the way you’ll enjoy supportive leadership and a collaborative team culture, plus clear opportunities for career progression.

Tips for applicants
Lead with your OT degree and eligibility when you apply, and make sure your resume clearly states your AHPRA eligibility and your full Australian working rights so the panel can see you’re ready to practice.
Showcase the must-have skills in your examples. Highlight collaboration with other clinicians, effective communication with clients and families, and any experience you have with return-to-work planning, ergonomics, or equipment prescription, even if it was in a student placement or internship.
Be ready to talk about how you approach real-world rehab scenarios, including goal setting and measuring progress, and share a concrete example that demonstrates your ability to manage casework and coordinate with stakeholders.
Ask a thoughtful question about the program’s structure and its progression after the year. For instance, inquire how mentorship is arranged throughout the 12 months and what the typical path looks like beyond the graduate year.
