Etihad Engineering seeks a GSE Fabricator in Abu Dhabi to fabricate Aircraft Docking Systems, perform maintenance, docking installation and hangar support. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of equipment maintenance and fabrication experience with access docking and can work well with maintenance teams while prioritizing safety. Key tasks include shaping materials (cutting, bending, welding, forming aluminum and steel), assembling wings and fuselages, and fabricating brackets and mounting hardware; operating hydraulic presses, shears, brake presses, band saws, drill presses and CNC mills. GSE Fabricator will be responsible for Fabrication of Aircraft Docking System, carry out daily Maintenance activity and Routine tasks and Docking Installation and Hangar Support Tasks
 

• Assist Fabricator for Preventive Maintenance / Repair / Modification Jobs / and Report any findings related to access docking and stands.
• Follow up and Perform the daily routine Tasks for access stands & docking and Hangar Support Assistance for Docking Installation whenever required.
• Responsible for adherence to Health Safety and Environment and ordinary care of tooling/ground support equipment and directs attention to perform proof loading of tools without accidents.
• Shaping Materials: Cutting, bending, welding, and forming grade metals and aluminium.
• Maintains a FOD-free working area, housekeeping of the bay area before and after work.
• Assembly & Riveting: Drilling, countersinking, and high-precision riveting to assemble parts like wings, fuselages, and control surfaces
• Custom Fabrication: Manufacture custom brackets, structural fittings, bulkheads, formers, stringers, ribs, and system mounting hardware to support flight-test operations or retrofits.
• Operate Machinery: Setup and operate specialized fabrication machinery including hydraulic presses, shears, brake presses, band saws, drill presses, and sometimes manual or CNC milling machines/lathes.
• Safety First: Strict adherence to safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a 5S-compliant (clean and organized) workspace to avoid Foreign Object Debris (FOD) hazards.

• 2 years’ experience in equipment maintenance, repair and fabrication of access docking. 
• Ability to work as a team with maintenance teams under supervision.
