This year, we are seeking students who are completing studies in the following fields:

  • Engineering: Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Mining, Mechatronics, Control Systems, Signalling and Communications
  • Science & Technical: Geosciences, Hydrology, Metallurgy, Geographical Information Systems, Environmental Sciences
  • Business & Commerce: Accounting and Finance, Commercial, Procurement and Supply Chain
  • Social Performance: Heritage, Archaeology, Anthropology
  • Information Technology: Technology, Data Science, Computer Science

 

Our 12‑week program provides meaningful, hands‑on experience where you’ll work alongside technical specialists, business professionals and cross‑functional teams on real mining projects connected to your discipline. You’ll gain practical skills, exposure to cutting‑edge technology, and valuable insight into how a modern mining operation works.

As an intern, you’ll gain exposure to meaningful work, contribute to real life projects and be guided by mentors dedicated to helping you grow. You’ll learn from some of the most experienced leaders in the industry, build valuable professional connections and may be considered for our Graduate Program upon completion of your degree.

Program eligibility

  • Open to current undergraduate and postgraduate students, enrolled in and undertaking relevant studies, including first‑year students
  • International students are welcome to apply but must hold full and unrestricted Australian working rights
  • Engineering interns must be able to complete the program on a FIFO roster at our Mine or Port Hedland operations
