Alewijnse is seeking a Hardware Engineer Lighting & Safety to design lighting and safety systems for luxury superyachts onsite in Nijmegen. You’ll translate client requirements, regulations and class standards into feasible designs, coordinate with suppliers and clients, and own the electrical drawing package from concept to completion, shaping appearance and safety. You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams and require an HBO in Electrical Engineering with years of hardware engineering experience, plus a proactive mindset and strong communication. You will design complete lighting and safety systems for luxury superyachts. You translate customer requirements, regulations and class standards into a technically sound and feasible design. You coordinate with interior suppliers and clients to ensure the design fits perfectly within the overall yacht concept. You are involved from start to finish and contribute directly to both the appearance and safety of the final result.
Your responsibilities include:
Designing and calculating systems based on client specifications and regulations
Coordinating the location and functionality of lighting and safety systems
Translating all agreements into a complete and accurate electrical drawing package
Collaborating closely with project teams, suppliers and the client
You are involved from start to finish and contribute directly to both the appearance and safety of the final result.

You bring:
A higher professional education (HBO) degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field
Several years of experience as a hardware engineer
Experience with lighting or safety systems is a plus
A proactive attitude and strong communication skills
