Alewijnse is looking for a Hardware Engineer, Power Maritime in Nijmegen for a full-time on-site role. In this role you design electrical power systems on board vessels, including generation, storage and distribution, focusing on sustainability and hybrid solutions, and you’ll collaborate with the Technical Project Manager. Key duties include designing systems to client requirements and regulations, delivering solutions within budget and schedule, identifying deviations and taking proactive action, and keeping stakeholders updated on progress. The ideal candidate has an HBO Electrical Engineering degree, several years in a similar role, and shipboard knowledge; highlight project delivery, regulatory compliance, and teamwork. In this role, you will design the complete electrical power systems on board vessels—covering power generation, storage, and distribution. Sustainability and innovation play a key role, with hybrid systems often part of the solution. You’ll collaborate closely with the Technical Project Manager, who holds final responsibility for the design.
Your responsibilities include:
