Company Description

MET International AG (METI) was established in 2010 in order to consolidate and develop MET Group’s international natural gas sales and purchase portfolio, as well as to establish a trading arm for commodity lines. 

METI is responsible for providing highly competitive supply structures to its gas and power sales affiliates, optimizing its power generation assets, managing the LNG portfolio, and trading around international positions.

The Head of Business Operations owns ETRM business processes and trade lifecycle support within Met International. The role provides strategic and operational leadership for the Trade Process Analyst team and acts as the primary business owner of Endur from a process, control and governance perspective.

This role focuses on ensuring a clear accountability for business ownership of the ETRM platform, ensuring effective governance, scalable operations, and high-quality delivery of business-led change within the organisation.

Job Description

  • Ownership of the ETRM business processes and trade lifecycle
  • Lead and manage the Trade Process Analyst team
  • Provide Level 3 (L3) support ownership for complex business issues
  • Act as the primary business owner for Endur-related processes and new product implementations
  • Define and maintain controls across the trade lifecycle
  • Prioritise and sponsor business-led change and enhancements
  • Partner with IT Application Operations to ensure platform stability
  • Represent the business in ETRM governance and steering forums
  • Ensure effective use of business SMEs and reduce operational risk

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in energy trading operations or Middle Office
  • Deep knowledge of ETRM platforms, preferably Endur
  • Proven leadership and people management experience
  • Strong understanding of trade lifecycle controls and risk management
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels
  • Excellent stakeholder management and decision-making skills
