About the Opportunity

 

As Head of Employee Relations, you will set and deliver the ER strategy across the RACV Group while remaining closely involved in complex cases. You’ll partner with senior leaders, drive governance and compliance frameworks, and lead a high-performing ER advisory function.

 

Reporting to the General Manager, People & Culture, you'll be the go-to expert on all things ER — providing high-level technical advice and partnering with leaders across the business to navigate everything from performance management to workplace investigations and employee relations matters.

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Lead and implement ER and industrial relations strategy aligned to business outcomes
  • Provide expert advice on complex ER matters including performance, conduct, grievances and disputes
  • Manage senior workplace investigations and oversee case resolution across the group
  • Lead enterprise agreement negotiations and end-to-end ER change initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, modern awards and industrial instruments
  • Oversee ER governance, risk and compliance frameworks, audits and reporting
  • Represent the organisation in Fair Work and external forums
  • Lead, coach and uplift capability across the ER Advisory team and broader P&C function

 

 

 

What you’ll need to be successful

 

  • Extensive experience in Employee/Industrial Relations, including leadership of ER teams
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial frameworks
  • Proven experience managing complex ER cases, investigations and dispute resolution
  • Experience leading enterprise bargaining negotiations and IR change programs
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Tertiary qualification in HR, Law, Workplace Relations or similar
  • Qualified Lawyer (admitted to Practice) Highly desirable
