He angitūtanga: The opportunity

 

We are seeking an experienced Head of Food & Beverage to lead our hospitality business across catering, theatre bars and café operations for Tātaki Auckland Unlimited.

 

This senior leadership role is responsible for driving commercial performance, delivering exceptional customer experiences, leading supplier partnerships and contract negotiations, and developing a high-performing team.

 

You'll shape the food and beverage strategy, champion sustainability initiatives, leverage digital innovation to enhance the customer experience, and ensure operational excellence across all hospitality operations.

 

Key Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Lead all food and beverage operations across catering, theatre bars, and cafés.
  • Drive revenue growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, pricing, and cost control.
  • Lead supplier sourcing, contract negotiations, and ongoing vendor relationships to maximise value and service quality.
  • Develop and implement sustainability initiatives that reduce waste, improve resource efficiency, and support organisational goals.
  • Identify and implement digital solutions that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and business performance.
  • Lead, develop, and inspire the Food and Beverage teams.
  • Develop innovative products, services, and hospitality experiences.

You will bring the following:

  • Senior leadership experience in hospitality, catering, hotel operations, or food and beverage management.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including supplier and contract management.
  • Proven experience leading multi-site or multi-outlet operations.
  • A track record of driving innovation, sustainability outcomes, and continuous improvement.
  • Passion for customer experience and team development.
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with operational delivery.
