The Opportunity:
We’re looking for two (2) Health Care Aides to join our Lifestyle Options – Terra Losa team on a casual basis. In this role, you will work with a team to provide inclusive, resident-centered care that promotes dignity and independence, under the direction of a Licensed Practical Nurse and Supervisor.
What you’ll do:
- Provide high-quality care in alignment with each resident’s individualized care plan.
- Support daily living needs including personal hygiene, mobility, meals, and recreational activities.
- Complete safe and appropriate medication assistance in accordance with current standards.
- Perform authorized and delegated procedures to meet specific resident needs.
- Communicate observations and concerns to nurses, AHS Case Managers, and other health professionals.
- Accurately document service hours and all activities performed for residents.
Qualifications:
- Active registration with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
- Experience with elderly, disabled, and palliative care preferred.
- Delivers person-centered care and involves residents and families in care planning.
- Demonstrates emotional intelligence and strong communication skills in English.
- May be exposed to infectious diseases; follows safety protocols and hygiene standards.
