Novo Nordisk is offering a Health & Safety Internship at its West Lebanon, NH site for 12 weeks onsite from May 26 to August 14, 2026, typically Monday through Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm, with hands-on experience in a 24/7 bioproduction facility and mentorship from the EHS team. You will lead a project to draft a written policy and training program for Powered Industrial Vehicles, benchmark against other sites, and map an implementation milestone while also engaging in essential EHS functions such as incident investigations, environmental compliance, waste management, and PPE reviews. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in safety or occupational health with a solid GPA, strong organization and communication skills, the ability to multi task and collaborate across teams, and any OSHA training a plus. The Position
At Novo Nordisk, interns will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced industry professionals and gain valuable, hands-on, full-time work experience. For 12 weeks, interns will be immersed in the environment of a 24/7 commercial scale bio-production facility and contribute to the business by providing sustainable and meaningful project work. The Health & Safety intern will work within our EHS team to take the lead on a project to draft a written safety policy and training program governing the use of Powered Industrial Vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanical lifts, etc.) at our site. This project will involve benchmarking with other Novo Nordisk sites to understand and implement best practices from existing similar policies, and create a milestone schedule for implementation. This internship will also get to experience a variety of essential EHS functions including: workplace safety programs, incident investigation methodology, environmental compliance and reporting, and waste management within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Prior workplace safety related training, or OSHA certification is a plus.
This role is based onsite at our West Lebanon, NH bio-production facility. Work schedule is: Monday-Friday 8am-430pm.
