This role performs preventative maintenance and repairs mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems on road maintenance gear such as ballast regulators, tie cranes and backhoes. You will plan and document repairs and keep records. The ideal candidate is 18+, has a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or GED, and formal heavy equipment training or 3+ years of repair experience, with schematics reading and basic welding skills, plus computer comfort. As a valued member of CPKC's Work Equipment team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of company systems by performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing and correcting issues, and conducting repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic machinery and equipment. Your expertise will contribute directly to the smooth operation of our equipment and the success of our operations. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, enjoys working outdoors and occasional travel. This opportunity can be headquartered in Davenport IA, Kansas City MO, Marquette IA or Waseca MN.
