The Heavy Duty Tire Technician is responsible for dismounting, cleaning of wheels, mounting and balancing of all heavy truck wheels. This person would also be responsible for keeping the tire area clean, tidy and organized. As a Heavy Duty Tire Technician, this person would be accountable for property and safely performing the tire and related services needed for all company owned units.
• Service Commercial Tires, including dismounting, mounting, and balancing commercial, industrial, and light truck tires
• Inflating tires to prescribe PSI per load requirements
• Determine repairable tire condictions and make sure repairs as needed on commercial industrial, and light truck tires
• Clean and maintain service equipment, maintenance on tools, and all other company property
• Properly execute required service tickets to submit to management and all other necessary paperwork as required
• Comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements
• Wear proper PPE, use tire cages, and follow all other safety polocies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to be insured by company insurance policy
• Must have a TWIC card or be able to obtain one upon hire
• Must be able to stand on your feet for 8 hours or more
• Must be able to communicate to supervision in a timely fashion if problems or questions should arise
• Must be willing to follow all safety procedures and work safely
• Must be able to work in a result-orientated, fast-paced environment as part of a team
