Lockwood Group is a long established family run business with over 400 employees across eight UK sites and a modern fleet, seeking professional HGV Class 1 drivers for a 4 on 4 off day pattern. The role covers general haulage with the latest tech, DVSA Earned Recognition, and full training including ADR and CPC. We are currently looking for professional HGV drivers to join our team. We have a modern fleet of premium brand vehicles, fantastic training opportunities and are proud to be a DVSA Earned Recognition operator.

Shift Pattern: 4 on/ 4 off days

Hours: Based on an average of 48 hours per block of 4, calculated over a 26 week reference period.  Hours may vary in accordance with business needs and reasonable additional hours may be required.

Rate: £32,396.00 (£178.00 per shift) paid at 3.5 shifts per week = £623.00 per week

Other bonuses: Graded driver performance bonus (Grade A – D) worth up to £2,400.00 per annum

The Role

• 4 on 4 off day shift
• General Haulage
• Use of the latest technology i.e. electronic POD devices, electronic walk around checks (full training will be provided).
• To maintain excellent levels customer service
• To ensure accurate and timely communication with the Transport team
• To deliver goods in a timely and professional manner

You Need

• Candidates will be a fully qualified HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver with a CPC, valid Digi card and a good understanding of Tachograph and WTD rules.
• You will be reliable and punctual and have a flexible approach
• Good verbal communication with excellent customer service skills and a professional approach
• Previous Class 1 experience is preferred but not essential.
