Lockwood Group is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 drivers to work days from S&R Smith and Son RM20 4EL, with 44 hours guaranteed at £16 per hour plus an early start bonus and night out allowance. You will join a modern fleet delivering general haulage with a strong focus on customer service and clear communication with the Transport team. S&R Smith and Son, West Thurrock (part of the Lockwood Group of Companies) specialise in general haulage & distribution in and around the South East of England.

New business developments on the horizon are allowing us to recruit experienced HGV drivers. We are looking for drivers to be based from S&R Smith and Son, RM20 4EL.

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday Days

Hours: 44 hours guarenteed pay per week based on a full working week.  Hours may vary in accordance with business needs and reasonable additional hours may be required.

Rate: £16.00 per hour

Other bonuses: Early start bonus & night out allowance

The Role

• General Haulage
• To maintain excellent levels customer service

Ideally the candidates would meet the following requirements:

• Candidates will be a fully qualified HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver with a CPC, valid Digi card and a good understanding of Tachograph and WTD rules.
• You will be reliable and punctual and have a flexible approach
• Good verbal communication with excellent customer service skills and a professional approach
• Previous Class 1 experience is preferred but not essential.
