Lockwood Group is seeking professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers to join their Monday to Friday team on a 44 hours basic week based at Ripley Road, Sawmills. The role covers general haulage with a modern premium fleet, DVSA Earned Recognition status, and full training on electronic POD, walk around checks, tachograph and WTD compliance. Pay ranges from £29,972.20 basic to about £39,866 with an average of 55 hours plus a monthly Grade A bonus up to £2,400 per annum. Benefits include funded CPC, ADR and FLT training, pension, 28 days leave, PPE and uniform, on-site parking, and a refer a friend incentive of £250 to you and £250 to the new starter after three months. Newly passed drivers are welcome and supported by mentor driver assessors.

Pay

Range based on the below:

Minimum of 44 hours per week (basic): £29,972.20 (£13.10 p/h)

Average of 55 hours per week + A grade bonus achieved every month: £39,866.00

Graded driver performance bonus (Grade A – D) worth up to £2,400.00 per annum

The Role

• Monday - Friday, 44 hours basic week
• General Haulage
• Use of the latest technology i.e. electronic POD devices, electronic walk around checks (full training will be provided).
• To maintain excellent levels customer service
• To ensure accurate and timely communication with the Transport team
• To deliver goods in a timely and professional manner

You Need

• Candidates will be a fully qualified HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver with a CPC, valid Digi card and a good understanding of Tachograph and WTD rules.
• You will be reliable and punctual and have a flexible approach
• Good verbal communication with excellent customer service skills and a professional approach
• Previous Class 1 experience is preferred but not essential.
